M.A.C Saint Germain

Saint Germain lipstick from M.A.C £13.50

I purchased this lipstick during my most recent visit to M.A.C and it's become one of my favourites. The cremey formula feels lovely on the lips yet looks quite matte. It's very long lasting and isn't too dis-similar to Pink Friday (or so I was told). I had never even heard of this shade before I purchased it and I can't understand why it isn't more raved about!

NARS Laguna Bronzer: Does it live up to the hype?

NARS Laguna Bronzer: £25

NARS Laguna Bronzer has to be one of the most talked about and equally raved about beauty products. It's a make-up bag must have for any beauty obsessive, like myself. It's a matte bronzer with a slight shimmer, which isn't noticeable on the skin. Personally for me, the fact that it doesn't have more shimmer is actually a downside for me, as I love shimmer! However, the fact that it's matte makes it perfect to contour.

At £25 you get more than your money's worth and the packaging is lovely, as always with NARS products. It's very long lasting on the skin although, as with all powder bronzers, but particularly with this one, I would recommend setting your foundation (if it's liquid) with a loose translucent powder as otherwise this can look slightly patchy towards the end of the day. I sometimes find that if I wear this, without setting my foundation, it can slide down my face.

So does this product live up to the hype? It certainly does. It's very pigmented and the colour pay off is incredible, you hardly need to use any and considering the size of the product, I can see this lasting a long time so it's definitely worth the price. Although it's a dark shade I find it suits so many skin tones. It's something I can absolutely see myself repurchasing!

2.Buffing Brush
3. Small Foundation Brush
4. Detailer Brush
5. Contour Brush
6. Stippling Brush: £12.99
(BRUSHES 2-5 ALL PART OF CORE COLLECTION £21.99)
All brushes purchased from Boots, available online or in store.

I cannot say enough fantastic things about these brushes. I purcahsed them way before I became a fan of the amazing PIXIWOO sisters and I see no reason to use any other brushes for my daily make-up routine. They are so reasonable priced for the beautiful quality, they are unbelieveably soft.

The buffing brush blends in any foundation to give an even and flawless finish. Even when I use my hands for foundation I always go over with this brush to blend in my foundation or creme blush. As mentioned in a previous post I used this to apply my Soleil Tan De Chanel.

The stippling brush, the first RT brush I purchased is also great for foundation and powder or creme blush. I always use this brush to apply blush to the apples of my cheeks. I also use it to apply my primer.

The countour brush is faultless and fits perfectly in to the hollows of my cheeks to give me a fantastic contoured look, it can also be used to apply blush to the apples of the cheeks.

The detailer brush is my least used of the brushes but still a great brush, it's great for covering up small blemishes and applying colour, closely, under the eye.

The small foundation brush is great for applying concealer to the under eye and blending foundation in harder to reach areas, i.e. sides of the nose.

I can't recommend these brushes enough and will definitely be purchasing the rest of the brushes to complete my collection!

A Little Chanel Haul

I popped down to the Chanel counter on my lunch hour recently and couldn't resist purchasing a few items. Firstly, I re-purchased my new all time favourite foundation Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua, I finally splashed out on some Soleil Tan De Chanel as I have heard so many amazing things about this product and I also went away with a lipgloss in the shade Rose Dilema.

Let's have a closer look at these gorgeous products!

Soleil Tan De Chanel: £30

I absolutely adore this product. It more than lives up to the hype it's just stunning. I absolutely love the colour and it can be used in so many ways, either to contour, as a skin base or even just to add subtle colour. It's worth every single penny and is something I will definitely be re-purchasing, although not for a while as I can see this product lasting a long time, I have used it every day for the last month and haven't even made a dent in it. You always get what you pay for with Chanel and I can't fault this gorgeous product. I am thinking of investing in the Chanel kabooki brush, the make-up artist used to apply the product to me at the counter. As the brush is priced at £39 I'm happy to apply it with my Real Techniques buffing brush for now, which also works great. A make-up bag staple for sure.

Chanel Lipgloss in Rose Dilema: £21

This lipgloss is beautiful. The colour is sheer with a touch of shimmer and works beautifully over a hot pink lip. It's extremely plumping, long lasting and nourishing. It feels beautiful on the lips and is worth every single penny. I don't love this as much as my all time favourite lip glosses from NARS but it's definitely up there as one of my all time favourites.

Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation: £32

I know there are already millions of reviews raving about this foundation! I can't say enough good things about it, it feels and looks amazing on my skin, it feels like I'm not wearing any foundation at all, while still providing me with a buildable coverage and a dewy finish. This foundation even smells incredible. It wears beautifully on the skin and it incredibly long lasting. I am yet to find a foundation I love as much as this one.

Mac Eyelash Curlers Review

MAC Eyelash Curlers: £13.00

They're nice to look at, proudly stamped with the famous M.A.C logo.

These lash curlers are fantastic and my new make-up bag essential. I had previously been using Models Own Lash Curlers religiously until I discovered these and my Models Own lash curlers are now tucked away in one of my many make-up drawers.

I have noticed a HUGE difference in the appearance of my lashes towards the end of the day, I prefer to pinch my lashes a few times, all the way up from root to tip, tilting the curlers as I go to get the full effect.

Teamed with my new favourite mascara YSL False Lash: Shocking they make my lashes stay looking long and curled all day without my lashes dropping.

It's no wonder these lash curlers are often sold out at maccosmetics.com, they're simply fabulous. Although a snippet at £13.00, compared to Shu Uemura at £20.00 they aren't exactly the most reasonably priced eyelash curlers, however, I think they are worth every penny!
